The latest run sheet
Not an old draft. Include timings, speaker order, AV cues, walk-ons, breaks, prize segments and who owns each cue.
Names, titles and pronunciations
Give phonetic notes or voice recordings for names that may be unfamiliar. Never leave VIP or award winner pronunciation to chance.
Event objective and audience profile
Tell the host why the event exists, who is in the room and how formal or energetic the atmosphere should feel.
Brand and terminology notes
Product names, acronyms, prohibited language, sponsor mentions and preferred descriptions should be clear before scripting.
One live decision-maker
During the show, the emcee needs a clear producer or show caller for programme changes. Too many conflicting instructions create risk.
